Still super rainy today… even more then yesterday – again predicted snow but yet to see evidence of that! Maybe tonight. I was initially planning to do empire state bldg and statue of liberty today but as both don’t go down very well in the rain - I decided to head to Brooklyn today – via china town - but the bus was abysmal. Basically the roof was leaking everywhere and the tour guide I had was pretty lame actually so I just decided to get off in the east village and head back to the hostel. But had to walk for a few blocks to get to the other bus stop and… discovered that if I lived in NYC I think the East Village would be me… This is the lower west side… and is basically where all the students and artsy people live. It just had this something that captured me heart and soul.

I wandered round in the rain for about an hour- because im a kiwi and I don’t have an umbrella… got really really wet! Fun times all round.
